All have sinned

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way.” Isaiah 53:6

“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all have sinned.” Romans 3:23

The penalty of sin is death

“The soul who sins shall die.” Ezekiel 18:4

“It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement.” Hebrews 9:27

Christ paid sin’s penalty

“And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18

Salvation is by grace through faith

“And he believed the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.” Genesis 15:6

“But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Assurance of salvation

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life and shall not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24

“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.” 1 John 5:11-13
